Making up for lost time...

Okay, I've been sick and you all (the 2 readers I have) haven't heard much from me lately other than my being sick. So I decided to give you a little story and some pics too. You have to forgive me though my camera died so I couldn't upload more but here's some of them.

The story is, my middle daughter Mikayla, she's 5, almost 6 and she really looks up to her older sister--who by the way is a Tommy Boy to the max--and I think she has some sort of influence from school that is trying to get her to be less girly. Granted I have "pushed" her into the girly role since she was a baby. I always dressed her in pink, combed her hair girly, had her into everything girly, so maybe she's sick of it and she's telling me to back off! Or not.... Maybe she's just trying to be a "follower" and she needs to stand up and be a leader in my thoughts. Anyway she's five and she's opinionated and she makes me smile so... the story is... with all this girly stuff out the door now, she reminded me yesterday that she had pictures today, class and individual pictures. In kindergarten the teacher's word is golden, so the teacher told them to "dress fancy" and boy did she ever outdo herself. And I'm so happy I got my girly girl back! :) heehee (selfish laugh)

So lastnight she insisted that she have me put her curlers in her hair, her hair is passed her butt, thin and straight. I know that the curling iron does not curl it and the foamy curlers will do the trick. So she bathes, I take the tangles out and I do up the curlers, all the meanwhile not realizing how this will actually turn out. It's great that we do these projects the day before picture day. So this is the before shot, in curlers and posing with her sisters. Another miracle, I got Alex-the oldest- to pose for pictures!
This is one of her new poses--with her mouth open--just picture her saying... HEYYYYYY!

She was copy-catting her sister in the poses, see her open mouth shot below. :)
I don't know why but she did not want to look at the camera, she was posing but looking away every time... This photo shoot took way longer than intended. :)

She did it! She posed for a picture, and look, she liked it but she was trying to hide it! haha...

Three peas in a pod. I couldn't take the red out of her eyes, her eyes are light hazel so it always has those red dots....

Okay so all the fun with before pictures and Mikayla insisting she do something special for pictures, this is the after shot below. She look so cute, when I first took off the curlers I was shocked at how curly it was but it came out really good and she LOVED it. I can't wait to hear how pictures went today.
HOW CUTE! And you can see her excitement in her neck she's so happy.. :)

The end.... see you tomorrow, I'll have swimming pool pics of the girls at their pool party on Sunday and maybe I'll have a scrapbook layout too! :)

Thanks Lauren and Lena... well the camera died before I can upload pool party photos. Still no layouts since I have about 1800 photos to still develop in my camera! yikes!

The first thing I noticed in the "after" photo was how tight and clenched her neck is! She is LOVING her hair! How stinkin' cute is she? All of your girls are adorable! Totally sweet! I hope her pictures turn out fabulous!
