It's ME again!

Another contest for 5MinutesForMom this time it's for a Kodak all in one printer/scanner, the same one that I've been eyeing! So go on over and join the contest, leave a message and link it up. Good Luck!

Picture for a Contest

Over at 5MinutesForMom they are doing a contest for Mother's Day, the prize $1000 from Egg Beaters. The contest states that you have to link up a picture of yours to the site that to YOU, represents Motherhood. For me, Motherhood is everything, that's what my entire life is... well as of 6 years ago anyway. But still, that's what I do, I'm a mother and I go crazy sometimes thinking that God has given me other human beings to raise. Believe me, I was shocked the first time I got pregnant but nonetheless excited and happy. My girls mean the world to me, and I think Motherhood means alot of things but most of all I think it means standing by your kids and supporting them in everything they do.
This is my daughter Mikayla, she is full of energy, motivation and enthusiasm, she is destined to be a STAR and she knows it! Her aspirations of being a movie star at 5 years old are amazing to me. Even though she had us in a car driving from Albuquerque to Phoenix and spending hundreds of dollars to take her to a Scouting Event, we did it and she loved it and she made me the proudest mother I could be. That was her shining moment and she stood in front of a crowd of 3000 people and walked the runway, posed, showed pictures and performed a commercial skit. I can't believe how talented, smart and fearless she is; and THAT is what makes a mother, knowing that you will go to any length for your children and in the end know that you did the right thing! I love you Mikayla!

Dresses and Parties

Oh boy was this weekend a doosey! Okay, starting off with Mikayla's birthday which was really the 26th, but she somehow made out with 4 parties, yes I said FOUR! She had a little gift giving last weekend at my sister's house (party #1) which I showed pictures of last week with the girls' suprised faces; another at school-just cake (party #2), pictured here, which to me seems like whomever wrote this message on the cake had a shaky hand. Maybe it's just me and I like everything tip-top.... or not.. let me know... :)

Above... that's Mikayla munching some cake for Party #2... Below... yup, you guessed it, Part #3, Mikayla had friends over from her class and we went to Red Lobster for lunch, then to watch Nim's Island and shopping at the Dollar Tree. Each girl chose 3 items to buy and we went home. It was a tiring day, let me tell ya!So this was party cupcakes that I made... Yay! they were good, it was white cake with sprinkles in the cake, then chocolate frosting an dmore sprinkles.. Yummooo
And on to party #4 and my hectic Sunday. In the morning I had an hour or so quiet time, the house was so quiet I told my mom it was strange (She drove last minute on Saturday to help with party #3--thanks mom!) Okay so after my mom left back home and the girls went shopping with their other grandma we got ready for the Princess Party at the neighbor's house. This party was completely Princess, no dress, no entry, and so on. They had a makeup station and manicure station, and they played games and ate. I have to say the girls enjoyed it alot! Even our Tommy Girl Alex went, and we got her in a dress! I thought it was going to snow and blizzard and bring El Nino Numero Dos, Thres and Cuatro on us! So here they are....
Aren't they some sassy Princesses! You go girls! Show em' who's boss!
Mikayla just anxious to go.. Hurry up mom, take the picture already!
Nevaeh all jazzed up, matching shoes too! :)
Makeup and nails are essentials to be Princesses! :)
Okay, so onward, after the princess party we were off to run home and get ready for party #4, it was only supposed to be cake and icecream, then we decided to feed everyone too, darn! haha :)So Hotdogs and Hamburgers was the meal and cake and icecream followed. This cake to be exact.

Mikayla shares her candle sticks with Alex... how sweet!
Okay... do you see something wrong with this cake??? I do! I do! How about her name is spelled wrong! It's McKayla like freaking McDonald's... Come on people.. how many cakes do you do a freaking day, a month, a year? I even wrote the name down!!!! Come on!!!!
So I attempted to take a little off the C and add it as the dot to the I, but there's no denying that capital K there and all the shakiness to the M and H... geesh! They kill me! Can't I get a decent cake without having to do it myself???? huh? huh???
Okay so was that enough? Was that enough stuff for my weekend??? Yeah just about, because I'm wore out today! Tired, lazy and having to go home and do laundry because I didn't have time this weekend...

The things I do for my children! :)

2 Posts today

Okay I know that I didn't post yesterday but I am posting 2 today to make up for it. See yesterday's post here, and this is today's post.

I interrupt this regularly scheduled blog of amazing wedding scrapbook layouts for THIS!
Look at this..... it's my living room, in case you forgot :)Oh no you're not having deja vu. This is an entirelyyyy different day. This was Monday, the pictures you see here were yesterday, Wednesday!

This is a mixture of another Victoria's Secret magazine and yessss unfortunately they got a hold of a Dr. Suess book and I think a Target sale magazine. What do I do with these dogs. They may look entirely innocent but let me tell you... they are all but innocent. My husband tried saying it was the little one, he's into scrapping stuff up like this. But after seeing the HARDBACK Dr. Suess book ripped to shreds I was convinced they were both to blame. Keep in mind this Bulldog weighs about 70ish pounds, she's only about a year and a half and so she thinks she's still a tiny little baby... But really, do they look like they would tear up my stuff??? Oh no.. not here... not in these photos, but I intend on catching them in action!
Just wait and see Amora and Romeo, just wait and see!!!!!!!!!!
I had intended on scrapbooking until the wee hours of the night yesterday, but once I got home I had to clean up the books and magazines, re-vacuum everything (Yes I vacuumed! Can you believe? I'm glad that when I plugged it in it was already on, otherwise I'm not sure I would have known where the power button was!--For those of you that don't know me, my husband cleans! Oh how I dearly LOVE him! heehee... I mean.. smooch!). Okay so I vacuumed and then had to sweep the whole kitchen, I mean the whole entire kitchen, because my hubby left the door cracked so the dogs can come in and out--the Bulldog can't be out in the heat too long before getting heatstroke--there were mounds, I mean MOUNDS of dirt covering everything in the kitchen! Ugh, I had to mop floors, wash down tables, chairs, counters.. it was a mess people! So after I was done and made dinner I really didn't feel like going to the office to scrapbook. So sorry but there are no layouts today :(
You'll just have to enjoy a good laugh at the magazine story and enjoy your regulary scheduled Thursday! :)

Frustrated but really okay...

Okay so yesterday I saw that Blogger was having a 10 minute or so outage and of course it had to be at the time that I usually add a post. So I thought it was already done and overwith, I started my posted, it took about 45 minutes because it was so long and had so many pictures... I went to submit.... and.... Sorry Blogger is unavailable! UGH! I tried going back and nothing worked so here I am with no post for yesterday and frustrated because I have to do this alllll over again! I saved some of it on my email for some odd reason so here is yesterdays post:

HAPPY ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS DAY!
That was a mouth full… Well even though I hate being an "assistant" I like the annual (how sad huh? I have to wait for an annual day in order to feel appreciated..) perks of today. It’s the ONE day out of the year that co-workers actually make me feel appreciated. I mean who cares if my actual ‘boss’ forgot but it was nice that all the ladies remembered. I got lunch, flowers and cake. Yummo, not that I need to add on the extra pounds though, but thanks, it was nice and yummy. Anyhow, I hadn't had a chance to upload more photos since my boss had been hangin’ around today. The nerve of him… being here… at work…. working! But I finally managed to upload them and here they are.....
This is Mikayla and Nevaeh over the weekend, we drove up to Colorado Springs so I can baptize my nephew... I'm a NINA! :) So my crafty work for the weekend included fixing these dresses so they would fit these skinny mini girls. I had to take them in, in the back and lift up the straps. I have to say I was quite impressed :)I'm so glad that my girls are photogenic, with me they have to be, I usually have my camera in my purse at all times, it's not a little camera, so I sacrifice the weight of the purse for pictures!
Nevaeh isn't too sure in the picture, she's like... do I haaaave to stand here and take pictures??? My answer---YES!Look at em', don't you just want to squeeze them. 1, 2, 3 Vogue! They do a model walk too, you can tell that I use our "us" time productively right? haha :) Hummm I wonder what she just did? Cause she looks like she's guilty!More zoo pictures, Mikayla with the Jaguar over her shoulder, great shot! This is Mikayla with her "scared of the snake" face. She's such a great little actress! You'll see her on TV... I promise!Mikayla with the flowers, she got a an extra cookie for this photo! hahahaha... The kids were having so much fun climbing all over this statue until one little boy slipped down the belly and scraped his back on the paw.... darn it!This is at the seals water den thing-a-ma-jig.... I know, I know, you can't see the seals but it was a hard shot since the seal was just bobbing his head in and out of the water, I missed it!Last picture of the zoo today... Don't you just love her! She is beautiful!
Again, but this time with her "suprised" face, keep in mind this is the same little girl that was trying to convince me that she's over all that girly stuff. Yet she loved allll the girly stuff she got for her pre-birthday. And look at Nevaeh how excited she is to get some hairbands! She is really turning out to have that outgoing personality like Mikayla! I love it! And last but certainly not least---well I saved the best for last on this one... it's my nephew Nate! You all know I love Elvis and I definately love Nate more, but what's even better???? Nate impersonating Elvis! LOVE IT!!!!!
He's a hunk of burning LOVE! Can't you just hear him saying... uh, huh... now we need to work on the dancing.... oh he dances like a star already but we need to show him some Elvis dances to do with the lip....
See people... having all girls I'm missing out on teaching Elvis stuff to a little boy.... I can already imagine all the productive things I could teach him! Haha... Love ya NATE!

On a Rolllllll....

Geesh, 2 days in a row, I won again, this time at Dougnat Diaries a RAK (Random Act of Kindness), I was runner up on her blog candy. THANKS! I'm so happy! :)

In other news I owe some pictures of my latest layouts and I do have to say either I'm getting better or I'm just really tired now (I went to the zoo today with a ton of kindergarteners and then came back to work--more on that later). So here they are, layouts! :)

So this is my napkin layout, it has my original napkin that we used, up close is below, and I cut off the feather that was on my signing pen for the guest book. The clear sticker on the right under the picture says 'Once in a while in the middle of an ordinary life, a Fairytale happens', that sticker I had put on all the table favors, which were red, black and white little chinese take out boxes. :)
This is my invitation layout 'Today I will marry my best friend', you can see below that I stamped the word Dream and added some white dots with puffy paint, completed with a white circles on red paper.
I added some metal additions that said 'promise' and 'now & forever' which basically means he's stuck with me :) I also added the white dots again.
In case you don't like looking at things all crooked the straight one is below, it shows the white dots in order and I cut out another image of our invitation and popped it up with some puffy tape stuff (don't you love that I'm so technical?)
And most of all my favorite layout thus far. My hubby, my oldest and my middle daughter which fell asleep after the church ceremony. But I tore the paper all over the place.. :) haha and the red stickers say 'truly perfect'. I also cut out the 'mine' with my cricut using the same red paper that I tore on the left side. :) Snazzy???!!!??? Yeah I think sooooo.
Up close, crooked if you like it above and straight below :)

All this paper tearing has reminded me of the very special event that happened yesterday, in which I got home from work, 3 kids in tow and upon entering my home I realized that both of the dogs were in the house and had attempted to RE-CARPET my downstairs rooms with MAGAZINES! If you don't believe me, see the pictures below.... what a mess!

Isn't this lovely??? This is my downstairs living room... Lovely....
Up close with magazines from Target, Victoria's Secret and Crate and Barrel... Lovely I say..
Oh yeah, that's the whole picture...
This is what leads into the next room... more paper... they were making a paper trail for sure!
And lastly, from the dogs point of view, they might think this is okay... Me? Not so much, that little skunk looking thing is their toy, why didn't they rip that thing up? Better yet, why were they playing with that so they didn't have to tear up my magazines.. oh yeah my Home and Gardens mag was in there too! Ugh...

On a lighter note I went to the zoo today with a gazillion kindergarteners! Okay maybe not that many but I was in charge of a few and my own so these are the pics I got, I don't want to post the ones we took of the kids because I don't know how their parents would feel about it... So here are the animals and plants. :)

Rhinos and Zebras.. duh... like I needed to tell you.. :) The zebras just seemed to stay and pose for a long time for me.
This guy, the alligator/crocodile thing scared the daylights out of me, I was looking and looking and all I saw were rocks then his eyes opened and forget it, my knees were mush.. :)
Kangaroo here thought it was necessary to cross his arms while he fell asleep under the tree, nodding off and then waking up to my flash! :)
I was waiting for this guy to roar but he sipped some water and then plopped on his back to nap again.... boooo...
Our Nation's Bird---the ginormous Bald Eagle, they were awesome as usual!
And lastly to complete the post were these colorful flowers, I love when flowers are so bright and blooming...
Have a good Tuesday night and see ya tomorrow! :)
