Quick post!

Quick post today, I gotta run, it's Meet the Teacher day at school for my girls so I'm off for the day.. BUT... I promised pictures so here they are...

First, the frog, Larry....

We got an aquarium so we had to get it prepare. By WE I mean Mikayla, Nevaeh and my husband. :)
So here they are digging up some dirt to make the place feel homey...

Oh look Daddy's helping too and Grandma isn't too far away! :)

Finishing up the dirt compacting... :)Ready for the transfer! Larry spent the night in a large jar and munched on a fly and a cricket.. YUM!OH LOOK! It's what MY craftiness contributed to Larry. I made him a home... haha.. crooked, quick, hot glued from scraps but it's a home and by golly he likes it! :)
Look there he is.. half burrowed in the muddy dirt stuff... can you see him.. Aghhh not really, I can't see him too much either.. :) He's there though.. really.. I promise!

Okay.. moving on quickly.. cause I have to go.. really.. I should have been gone about 10 minutes ago, good thing I can type 75 words per minute! :)

NOW for my REAL craftiness. My daughter's 3rd birthday is tomorrow. I made her THIS! Too cute, I love this little girl. I keep allllllll my old cards from any occassion and this chick was on a father's day card my husband got a few years ago, I thought she was perfect for this. Soooo I cut her out with an Xacto along with the Happy Birthday from another card and Ta-Da!

I popped her up with some pop up sticky things.. sorry I'm in a hurry and I can't think straight right now... I added two grommets and strung orange ribbon though it with a knot. :) I added 2 different primas with another grommet, let Mikayla pick the grommet color and the flowers. Good job! :)

Inside I added a sticker 3 and a chipboard flower. :) Cute, all my writing is done with white gel pen. She's going to love it! :)

Where has this week gone?

Not that I'm complaining I'm just lost... :)

It's almost Friday! YAY! Nevaeh's birthday is Saturday so I have lots to do today and tomorrow. Going shopping today for presents, ordering a cake, etc. FUN!

So I have no pictures today because I forgot the cord at home, Sorry... So I will have some of our new PET tomorrow! Yeah, I said it right. P-E-T! Like my dogs weren't enough right... right!?!

Anywho, have a good Thursday night, I will be back tomorrow, hopefully with at least ONE layout and some pictures.

It's Wednesday? Is it really? Are you sure?

Are you sure? Since... well.... I FORGOT to post the last two days! What the heck? Yeah I know, I'm in shock too, I'm in some sort of RUT, a stink RUT that I can't seem to get out of. I want nothing more than to sit at home in pajamas and sleep, on the couch, in my bed, with the TV on or off, just sleep. What's wrong with me?!?

I don't know what it is but I have NOTHING crafty for you. I literally took 4 whole days off from blogging and now I think something is completely wrong with me. So I say again... What the heck?

So I went school shopping for the girls Saturday for our New Mexico tax free weekend! Yeah I said it.. I went! What was I thinking?!? First off, I said before that I was done with school stuff... I LIED! I forgot I had to get them shoes! So of course, I pack them all up on Saturday, knowing that the mall is going to be an absolute madhouse in hopes to get shoes. First, I couldn't find a parking, then when we did find one it was on the exact opposite side of the mall of where we needed to be to get shoes... We got the shoes and we were outta there! Went to lunch, went back to the mall! What were we thinking???? Almost got ran over by a thief on the run in Dillards... no big deal, went out and partied that night, and I think I'm still feeling the lack of sleep since the partying on Saturday! Geesh!

So after all that my sister was back in town on Monday and I got to squeeze this little guy.. :)

Sssghetti anyone??? yum... Maybe this is how Elvis ate spaghetti, he has the lip action going on...
Or maybe you would prefer a visit from the HULK! TOO cute!
Nah, I think he'd rather go back to the sssghetti.. :) Love ya Nate!

Friday's HERE!

This week has gone by extremely slow but then I look back on the summer and it's gone by so fast I don't remember most of it. The girls meet their new teachers next week already and start school the following week. Where has the time gone??? I got a first grader AND a fourth grader and one that wishes she can go to school this year at age THREE. Well she will be three on the 9th. Woohoo! Milestones are upon us....

Okay so back to the reason we all come here, my scrapping.. okay maybe you ALL don't come here for my scrapping, maybe you just come here because you love me... :) I can hope alright! :)

So I got three pages done lastnight, I am so proud that I'm going along so fast on my projects, Yay ME! But on the other hand it has completely got me obsessed... I think I may have to do to Scrap-a-holics Anonymous soon. I can't get enough paper, enough goodies, enough chipboard... I'm addicted, I'm going crazy and I just... want... MORE! So I'm going on a scrapbooking budget diet... Meaning I spend nothing for a while until I use lots of stuff that I already have. Which I think will be incentive to use it all quickly so I can get more NEW stuff! :) I'm such the thinker, aren't I? hahahaha...

Okay so my layouts are....

Star of the show... I love all the SeaWorld pics, they're so BLUE and cute!
These are the new chipboards that I bought, love em'. I used my white pen to add in some more little do-dads...
Chipboard star, this was actually a funky polka dotted star but it was white on other side so I just flipped it over and used the white side. :)
I used my new Cricut Cartridge, Making the Grade, for the letters and the tags. Love it!

I just put the tags overlapping and added silver brads to hold them down. I added white backing so the letters wouldn't get lost in the blue background.

Making a splash! I had never been to SeaWorld so experiencing it for the first time with my daughters and their first time we loved it, we watching in awe! It was more than I thought it would be and I loved it! The striped paper had this polka dot pattern on the back so I used the scraps from the square to cut out the circles.
The main back paper is a dark blue.. it looks black here but it's a Navy blue, I actually got it in a Navy page kit... :)
I usually cut the circles with my fiskars circle cutter but I think it's a bit hard to do the inside circle on it. Sooooo I used my Cricut's Making the Grade Cart and used the little "o" in different sizes, this worked out much faster and easier! :) The arrow I just drew with a sharpie on the polkadot paper and I did it sketchy so you can see the lines, then I cut it out with my scissors. I like the turnout of it. :)

Just go ahead and buy it for me... I'll love you forever! PROMISE! I will still use my Kodak for smaller things but I reallyyyy want one of these for my venture into the photography world!

A visitor and a wish list... ahhhhh

Well I have nothing crafty for you today... Why? Because I was too excited, waiting for this little visitor! Hey Nate! What's crackin'? This is my little nephew, he's too cute and I just want to squeeze him when he's around.
HUH? He's waiting for pancakes! Like... hellooooo where are my pancakes????
Yum, nothing like grape juice early i nthe morning... Yum, slurp.. yumm...
Unfortunately he's already gone, he's on his way to my old Army Stomping Grounds in AZ to visit his other Aunt and Uncle. Darn, I'll miss him, but I'll see him on Monday when he's driving through again! :)

Did you notice that first picture of him? The blurriness? The Un-focusedness? The picture that's screaming.. Focus!... Focus.... FOCUS!!!! haha... Well that's one of the many reasons that I have this on my wish list....

Below is what I have now, it's nice, it's easy, it's a point and shoot camera from Kodak and don't get me wrong it has went everywhere with me, it has it's own indention in my purse for it's home, but I would like to upgrade, I mean, really, really, really.... upgrade... to the Nikon D80..
Get my drift?

Oh yeah I got a question too.... or a request for recommendations rather.... Who/Where do you recommend I get a Monthly Scrapbooking Kit from. I've looked all over and I'm just not sure where to go... Help me out here!

Lots of page layouts... DONE! :)

EIGHT Page Layouts, I finally figured out my camera to get them all on my internal memory. So here they are, I've been doing these over the last few days. I'm so proud that I've been so productive!

First off, we'll start with layouts....

Rhinos galore! They seem so relaxed and loveable right? :) I was trying to get as many pictures on a page as I could without it looking toooo crazy. I have tons of pictures people... I can't afford to only put one or two pictures on a layout all the time :)
For the Rhino layout you can see the background through the tissue.. what tissue you ask? I got a green thin tissue--like the ones you put in gift bags-- I tore it to fit the page, placed it on top and added rubber cement to the top. The tissue is so thin that it soaks it and glues through the other side to the paper and you get this effect... Something differenet I guess. Next time I'll try with a color that's not so similar.
Pose, Ride, Sleep... that was about the just of the trip. The journaling notes that everyone in my family knows me so well that they always know that they have to pose for pictures... Sometimes I get caught in a picture or two but its not very likely. :)
The letters were cut on my Cricut Basic shape cart and I added some green dots of paint and some buttons.

This is a page that I have redone because I didn't like the way I did the last one... If you'll remember it was quite a disaster, it was during the time my girls were out of town, I had a major headache and was scrapping for about 10 hours.. Member??? :)
Anyhow I added 2 flowers and a grommet, a clear "sightseeing" sticker and some pink paint dots.
OH MY! These creatures are amazing I think. They were playing the whole time we were there, I loved it.
The letters are again from the Cricut, just a new cut... I hadn't used this type before... I like it. Added some ribbon, staples, buttons... love it!

Simple yet okay with me... Posing with the King... Not Elvis the King, but the King of beers.. :)
These are my foamy stickers from the Dollar Tree along with some of my Sharpie writing. :)
I like this one because the colors are so good together, I think anything goes with black really and I love this! The letters are Dollar Tree stuff, the & sign is from the cricut and that's all folks!
Cute... Using the shadows here, love it!

These horses are so well taken care of and so nice and gentle... and oh soooo soft! They were huge I thought and with the girls next to them it was cute! I tore up one full sheet of 12x12 paper in orange to make this effect. I like it... it flows... I also cut some flowers out of the patterned red/orange paper to add
A blurry up close of the white chipboard.. I'm not sure why it's so blurry, sorry... You can see the flowers with a grommet and my journaling sideways on the lines...
This layout has the Park brochure on it, and some more posed pictures by the huge entrance murals. It was a rainy day there but we still had fun.
I added this buckle and adhered it with the same patterned paper, and added a torn paper to journal a line or two.. :)
